  • bartjoebob:

wow.. cat seemed to be the only to figure this out. all the others sucked

  • KawasakiiiiiFan:

hi if i wanted to build a motocross track would this move dirt pretty well? of course it would take awhile but i was wondering if it is able to move some earth around .. or go under neath the soil

  • kinser7220:

Deere and New holland skid loaders are pretty much the same

  • peebsb:

a little at the dealer.. people I know that have them love them.. I mostly do concrete demo or get T-190s if i rent ctl’s due to access on my jobs. I’m looking forward to seeing what the steel tracks are all about? there pricey but I have a buddy that excavates for hill side homes that thinking about demoing one.. so I’ll have to go check that out.

  • WillieWonka928D:

Have you tried one with RS peesb?
I wanna try one, see what it feels like.

  • WillieWonka928D:

I couldn’t have said it better.
And some idiot marked this as spam!

  • WillieWonka928D:

    New Holland was the worst.
The big Taks with different Tracks are probably the worst riding CTL in on the market.
But then again its also one of the best CTLs.

  • WillieWonka928D:

Cat and ASV have the same undercarriage.
It even says ASV on Cats track system.

  • 7018welder:

the case went over that stuff pretty well whats the big deal

  • peebsb:

where is Bobcats roller suspension? kinda lam to only show there machine with suspension and all the others with out that option??? I know cat has one two..

  • 45deere:

I agree where is a Cat machine

  • dick6044:

or maybe because ASV makes the undercarriage for the CAT muli terrain loaders. Both are great machines. CATs compact tracked loaders dont have a suspended undercarriage just their multi terrain loaders.

  • eriknickerson:

    why isn’t there a CAT 297c .
    probably because CAT kicks ass!

  • peebsb:

Although I am a bobcat man I believe most of these machines to be good in there own right but due to the nature of compact track loaders and my personal experience running some of these machines there are good and bad things about all of them. but no matter who makes them the operator and how he manages the enviroment around his work site is what makes or breaks the machines performence.

  • peebsb:

We all know that in compact track loaders Bigger isn’t always better because if that was the case then we would just get a Cat 973 track loader on the job. although ASV makes a very nice riding machine you have to admit the under carriage is too high maintenance and has too many moving parts for its own good

  • jesse112693:

you see they didnt show the cat skid steere because they didnt want to show one that would beat it

  • carvinlove:

ASV’s sure are comfortable. Ever tried loading a truck with one though?

  • anewbeggining21:

Agreed! The 332 is the most powerful skidsteer available right now! For some reason tho the CT version has a little less power.

  • anewbeggining21:

    Deere CT332 wins overal

  • razoredge45:

This is the dumbest stuff I have ever seen! eather way this is the wronge tool for the Job,here we are tipping the scales 10,000lbs and top heavy/unstable expensive, like installing a turbo on an old Briggs&Stratton engine..If you need a track loader then get a real one,the cost in runng is not much differant but far more cost affective sometimes you just need a sledghammer not a wrench.but Since most stuppid people dont bid jobs they work by the hour this is the perfect tool !!!!

  • haggis:

well at least we are polite about it.

Fair enough, I will accept your explanation! :o )

  • AndrCurrie:

I hate to disagree but a boggie system is where the track rollers are osilated together in a group, this is another case of where wikipedia can be misleading. The rollers are just that, I’m not saying that people don’t call them that. Its like how people call all skidsteers, bobcats.

  • haggis:

Hi there, thanks for the post. Just to clarify, boggies are just another name for track rollers, this goes back to tanks etc. Any intermediary wheel between the idlers can be referred to as a boggie. So in my original post I was referring to how bobcat is suspending those “track rollers” or “boggies”. Boggies do not refer to a type of suspension. just a undercarriage component. Wheel trucks are trains are also called boggies. I think you get my point. I don’t mean this to sound snotty. Wikipedia

  • AndrCurrie:

There is no boogie suspension on the bobcat, it is supported by short leaf springs on the track rollers. A boogie system is what Cat used on thier challanger tractors. The new Cat skidsteers and also ASV skidsteers use the torision set up from a dozer. If you want to see more on the bobcat I could send you a leaflet. Its a suprisingly comfortable ride though, it seems like your floating unlike the older fixed style.
